Broken-up concrete surface of the perimeter track at the disused aerodrome of Montrose. This, the oldest military airfield in Scotland, was opened for the Royal Flying Corps in 1913 and used by historic aircraft types such as Maurice Farmans, BE2s, SE5As, Avro 504s and Sopwith Camels throughout WW1.
