Royal Air Force Harwell or more simply RAF Harwell was a Royal Air Force station in what was then Berkshire, England, approximately 4.8 miles (7.7 km) south-east of Wantage and 17 miles (27 km) north-west of Reading. Although named after the nearby village of Harwell, most of the airfield lay within the parish of Chilton, with about a third in East Hendred and the smallest portion in Harwell.
